One of my coworkers showed me this animation. Amazing how complex it is and how long it must have taken to film.

Woody and Wilcox Return to the Anchorage Radio Waves

Woody and Wilcox are the most talented local morning show in Anchorage. Between them and NPR it is the only morning-time listening I participate in on weekdays. When I need more energy than NPR with some brains and a lot of entertainment I turn on Woody and Wilcox, when commercials occur or I would like more serious topics I listen to NPR.

A few weeks ago they made a statement that was considered racist, due to this they were suspended from the air for a couple of weeks. They have now returned and my happiness can resume. If you are in Anchorage and need a radio show that is hosted by a couple of talented guys but not necessarily very family friendly they would be right up your alley.

I screwed up and after building my last blog entry for multiple days (quality takes time you know) I rebooted my computer without saving the document. Doh!

Lets see if I can summarize all the good stuff in a short space:
G4tv Viral Classics. For some reason I was highly amused by Little Superstar.

Snickers.com in their advertising section has a roadtrip featured with unlikely participants. Specifically the one where they sing Greensleaves I find entertaining as all get up.

Oh yeah, I paid off all my credit card debt tonight, or more precisely in the next 24 hours a automatic payment will wipe out my credit debt. It's been over two years since I've been 100% credit card free, prior to that it was always only a few months that I might have a balance (like while on vacation). I'm very happy. This acts as a note to self: Don't screw up and run up major credit card debt again. I mean it.

Interest in my pocket = Good.
Interest in Credit Card Company Pocket = Bad.

Looks like someone managed to software unlock iPhone firmware 1.1.2 within the last day or so. Now we wait for 1.1.4 so that people can crack 1.1.3 :^).

Paul Pots, Apple Tech Support and the HTC Advantage

This man is friggin amazing.

Here is a second video of him winning the competition.

Apple tech support - 48 hours, both parts replaced and the old ones on their way back to Apple. People can bash on apple about their prices, their hooked-to-one-hardware operating system, etc. but you can't beat their tech support. I would dare say that it is right in line with Cisco's as far as quality is concerned.

As always gadgets are always high in my priority list - I think the HTC Advantage is a pretty dang cool device. I wish it had the ability to run a real OS :^). They are selling them at CompUSA, I think I'm going to go and check it out.

G4 TV Commentary

Tonight in the background of my computer hum the E3 preview show is showing on G4, which happened to be on after Ninja Warrior.

Earlier I heard the comment of the night while people were getting ready to play Guitar Hero 3: Because I have a vagina I am not allowed to play and have to get off the stage.

After the competition and smackdown of the host by one of the game developers the host smashed the guitar on the floor in rockstar style. Very nice.

Digg Stuff from Today

Some interesting things I ran into over at Digg today:

Two Weeks of food on $10.

Drinking Coffee may reduce certain health risks, as far as I'm concerned, I guess I can hope that more = better when all the evidence comes out :^).

WEP wireless security has been re-quad-mega-ultra-uber-broken, too bad so many devices only support WEP.

Shelby Super Snake

While in Hawaii I rented a Ford Mustang convertable, it was a great little car to drive while I was in the seat, although I wished it had some more spunk. Ford has announced the Shelby Super-Snake, which will produce over 600 horse power from the factory with option to produce over 700HP. Now that is some bad-ass common man car right there.

Power Naps, Lieutenant of Inishmore and David Sedaris

I ran into an article on powernapping linked via digg. For years I've used <20 minute naps to get refreshed and catch a second wind, glad to see I'm not smokin' crack on my 20 minute timing.

In other news I saw the play Lieutenant of Inishmore last night. It’s the story of a man, his cat, and bloodshed. Funny stuff, but definitely not kid friendly. If you have the chance to see it I would encourage it. While I’m on the topic of shows David Sedaris is coming to Anchorage in May.
